23 Legal LLC has a simple mission: to help our clients.
We know how intimidating “the law” can be. In fact, when most people think of law offices, they think of stuffy leather chairs, huge wooden desks and pompous lawyers who charge outrageous fees. That’s not us! We believe that a good lawyer should help you, not stress you. We believe in 1-to-1; the same lawyer should work with you all the way through. Whether you have an estate planning issue, family trust concern, or you have a legal problem in regard to a new home, business, real estate or remodel, you need a lawyer who cares. That’s where Ben comes in!
Meet Ben Weaver, Founder of 23 Legal
Ben is the kind of person who believes in helping others because it is the right thing to do. Before he became a lawyer, he served in Zambia for the Peace Corps. When he opened 23 Legal LLC, he made sure to join the Rotary Club of Arlington Heights because of his close ties to the community, as well as his connection with the Arlington Heights Chamber of Commerce. Ben is a member of the Illinois State Bar Association and the Illinois Real Estate Lawyers Association. Most of all, Ben likes talking to people to get an understanding of their needs. This philosophy carries over to everything we do; we really listen and we really care.
Areas of Law We Practice: Real Estate & Estate Planning
For real estate, we work with clients purchasing, selling, or transferring their property. When buying or selling a home, you will work with a realtor to create and sign a contract with a decided purchase price. When the contract is fully executed, that is where we come in! We work with realtors, lenders, and opposing counsel through Attorney Review to make sure you get what you need out of your contract. We work with you from contract to close, and then some! For home transfers, we can prepare your Quit Claim Deed and/or other necessary paperwork for you. We will file everything with the county and make sure your deed is updated correctly.
For estate planning, we can create and prepare a will, trust, power of attorney, and many other estate planning documents. We’ve been practicing for over a decade, so we know which documents you need to be fully protected. We also help with probate and updating any estate plans as necessary. We like to create relationships with our clients so they can come to us when a big life change happens. We are here for you!
